First, I would like to thank all of you who have been interested in my blog and what I am planning to do with it. My desire is to see this out reach help as many aspiring business leaders prevail when they come across difficult times or the sting of failure. I feel that I am obligated to tell you a bit of my background. So here it goes.
In the summer of 1982 I was born in a old hospital in a rust belt city. My childhood was average, although we did live in a great neighborhood and we had great parents. When I was 11 I started my first job, a paperboy. It was through this I learned the beginning stages of leadership, responsibility, customer service and satisfaction, bill collection and of course, payday. I was a very good paper carrier and even doubled the size of my route in 3 years time. It inspired me to always work for myself and the doors that can open when you live that kind of life.
Since the days of my paper route, I have never really settled into an 'ordinary' job despite being pressured to go to school and 'do something with my life'. The only job I worked well was being self employed as a window and door installer for seven years. I hated that job but it had the most freedom of any that I have previously had. I am currently working for a Fortune 50 company as a Sales Specialist but do believe that I will follow my passion into business management and product creation.
I realized when I was 20 that the only job I would absolutely love would be a business oriented position in which I controlled the management and was able to creatively use my imagination to produce and create products. I am now at that stage of my life as a 29 year old. I could run my own business and I have products that I have created. All with a year and a half of 'college'.
So with this website and the others that I will soon have up you will understand why I am a true capitalist. I value creation of values, services and products to enhance society and everyday life. I want to motivate you to do the same. There are no excuses, you CAN'T be too old, too young, too poor, too busy, not smart enough, healthy enough. The tools are there to achieve you just must believe that it will take a little time, have faith, and never stop looking toward your vision. That passion in which you have.
